Craola's New Clothing Line

My good friend Greg “Craola” Simkins just dropped his new clothing line. For those of you who aren’t familiar with his work, you’ve definitely got to check it out. He’s one of my biggest inspirations and probably one of the most innovative lowbrow artists today.

FISHFOOT TATTOO

Did this tattoo on the beautiful miss Tyler Dobbins as a continuation to the "Little Tyler" piece I did on her a couple years back.

TattooistArt Article

Just landed this new article with a new online magazine called TattooistArt.com. If you get a chance, check it out!!

Dumb Politician iPhone Case

I just got these nifty Dumb Politician iPhone covers in (3G/3GS only). If you’re interested in scooping one up you can do so by clicking the image below. Each case is printed using Thermo-Active Transdermal Technology (a new process developed by a company called “Uncommon”). This particular process ensures durable, long lasting, high resolution imagery on every case. I’m super happy with how well they turned out and I’m confident that you guys will be happy with them as well.To those of you that are interested in setting up an appointment with me for my Florida trip, I’ll be shooting out an email here in about three weeks. I usually give my mailing list first priority so if you haven’t joined it yet you can do so here. A lot of people have been showing interest in booking with me for this trip so definitely hit me back as soon as you get the email to ensure a spot.

THANK YOU!!

First off I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. I sold a ton of T-Shirts this past week and it really means a lot to me that all of you stepped up to help me out. I'm going to get all these orders off to the printers this Monday and hopefully have them out to you a couple weeks after. If you haven't had a chance to order a shirt and would like to, please make sure you get your order in before Sunday.

On another note, I just had 3 new articles drop in Europe (Skin Deep issue 181, Rise, and Bodyfication). I sent them a bunch of new tattoos that I've never posted on the internet before so if you wanna see them you're gonna hafta scoop yourself up one of these magazines:)

Till next time!!

LEFTY SKETCH T!

Last Friday I messed up my drawing hand pretty bad playing soccer and unfortunately it has put me in a position where I can't tattoo. So I was trying to figure out a way to supplement my tattoo income and I came up with an idea. I had always wanted to see what would happen if I drew up something left handed and thought this was a good opportunity to try. I sat down with the intention to draw a T-Shirt design to sell to people who were interested in giving me a hand financially and to my surprise it turned out better then I had expected.

I ended up sketching a squirrel (go figure:) named Basher who was the sole survivor in the battle for the Golden Acorn. I also wrote a short story about how he ended up breaking his wrist that can be found behind the image on the T-shirt. If you are interested in scooping up a T-Shirt I would greatly appreciate it. All shirts will be printed on American Apparel and run $23 a piece. They are available in Men's (Grey or Sepia) and Girl's (Grey or Muave). Thank you all so much for your continued support, Jesse Smith

BABY SKULL!

Dropped this off in San Diego back in July!

RAT RACE

Dropped this off in Vegas at the Mario Barth's Biggest show on Earth. Took me about 9.5 hours.

SWINGING DICK!

So I arrived in San Diego last week with a few slots available to tattoo. The first day I walked into Five Two Tattoo there was this fella sitting there waiting for me. After talking a bit he asked me if I would be interested in tattooing a "dick on a swing" on his inner thigh. Initially I was really not feeling the idea so I told him I'd think about it and get back to him. After a couple days of dishin around the idea I decided to give it a try. This is what I came up with.

In today's news, Pick and I took a train from San Diego to L.A. It was about a 3 hour trip total. Arrived in L.A. at about 7PM and have been hangin around the hotel catchin up on some internet time. Tomorrow we're gonna stop by the Tattoo Lounge here in Venice beach and talk to Bugs a bit before we head out to the beach to take some photos and do some sketchin. Gotta a couple tattoos that I did in Miami that I'd like to post so hopefully I'll have a little time tomorrow to post them. Till then, Enjoy my Swingin Dick:)

BATTLE FOR THE BRAIN!!

I dropped this piece off about 2 weeks ago in Miami beach for the first annual Tattoolapalooza. I stayed super busy and got to hang out with one of my bestest friends Jason Stephan. All in all I had a great time!

I ended up scooping up "Tattoo of the Day" on Sat. which is pretty awesome being that there were a ton of Awesome tattoo artists there. The collector of this piece had been battling a disease that ended up requiring surgery and changing his way of life. During his battle with this disease he thought that it would ruin his quality of life. So I created this piece to illustrate that although the disease may have won the small battle, there was a bigger battle to be fought. The battle for the brain and his ability to continue a high quality life even with his loss.

Today Electric Pick and I are gonna go chill out at a cafe' and release some of this creative energy that has accumulated over the past couple of days. We just spent two full days at the comic-con and are overwhelmed by the inspiration. Hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to show you soon. Till then, stay safe, it's a dangerous world out there!!

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD!!

The pieces posted below were created for a show called "Pint Size Paintings". We were given two 2"X3" canvas' and told to decorate them using paint (either oil or acrylic). Being that the canvas' were so small my first instinct was to create a composition that would stand up not only as two separate pieces but also as one. While sketching on the canvas' I decided to try and connect them on every side. It took me about 4 hours to figure it out and 21 hours to paint it.
